The Cracked Egg Cafe in Galloway offers a straightforward, home-style breakfast experience that fits seamlessly into this quieter New Jersey community. This is the kind of place where locals settle in for a leisurely morning meal, finding comfort in both the food and the welcoming atmosphere. With a focus on classic breakfast staples—think omelets loaded with bacon and cheese, fluffy pancakes, and satisfying sides like home fries—the cafe caters to those craving hearty, no-fuss dining that still feels personal.

The dining room has a cozy, no-rush vibe, making it easy to linger over coffee and conversation. Whether you’re seated inside or grabbing a spot at the bar, it’s clear the kitchen keeps a steady rhythm even during busy weekend mornings, balancing multiple orders without sacrificing that homemade touch. The staff’s friendly attentiveness adds to the welcoming feel, making diners—whether solo visitors, families, or longtime locals—feel genuinely taken care of.

For those interested in exploring the menu, dishes like the Denver and sausage-and-peppers omelets stand out, alongside more playful options such as chicken and waffles or blueberry pancakes with goat cheese. Portions tend to be generous, supporting a filling meal to fuel the day ahead.

If you plan to visit, morning hours are ideal, especially if you want to soak in familiar small-town rhythms without feeling rushed. Outdoor seating is an option during warmer months, but be aware that nearby trees can attract bees during sweet, syrup-heavy meals. Despite this, the overall dining experience remains comfortably casual and welcoming—a reliable spot to enjoy breakfast done right in Galloway.

I have something called Gastroparesis.. my stomach muscles are paralyzed... I was skeptical about eating but I shared with my kids. This was the most delicious food I've tasted from a restaurant. I ate it All .. not to salty not too greasy not expensive either. The Staff were soooo incredible nice.. that made sure we were very well taken care of.. IF YOUR IN THE AREA THIS RESTAURANT IS DEFINITELY worth stopping to eat... I recommend this place...

We loved this little gem in Galloway. From the friendly service to the delicious food - with a small town homey vibe, the perfect place for a great breakfast. Richard the owner and cook knows how to juggle all the orders, cooking up fresh eggs and home fries and pancakes like a seasoned pro. We loved the pancakes - fluffy and not too sweet with anything, and the sausage patties were so good grilled fresh to order. Great value with generous portions - definitely worth a stop.

Food is good old fashioned home cooking kind of food. Filling, delicious, not terribly expensive, served with a smile and kindness. While a simple menu, still plenty of choices, BIG servings, sucks to the ribs, and the atmosphere is very comfortable and cozy. It’s definitely the kind of place you can eat, sit and talk over coffee/tea, and not feel rushed. (Just remember to treat your servers well if you do!) We will be back next time we’re in the area!

This is my favorite place to have breakfast. The atmosphere is comforting and cozy. I always have two eggs over medium and they are always perfect. The hash browns and coffee are great too. The most recent time we went it was quite busy. We sat at the bar and watched the cook who had order after order coming in. We expected a long wait but he was amazing and handled all the dishes with ease. He crushed it! He and all the servers are so friendly as well.

The food here was excellent. We ate outside and our main reason for coming was the sausage gravy of which I am a connoisseur and approve of. Different than your southern Hardy’s or Cracker Barrel but still delicious and recommended. We are outside though and the bees were pretty bad. I think the short trees attract them along with the syrup and sugar left over on the tables once the food has been eaten. I recommend eating inside if you have an allergy. Otherwise though, 5 stars! Thank you.

The Cracked Egg Cafe lives up to it's great rating on Maps. The outside looks like a place from a storybook and then you walk inside and it opens up into a Cafe that feels much bigger yet cozy. The food was great and the environment was kept spotless. The gentleman in charge showed that he cared about everyone who was there. He especially cared about the temperature/air conditioning since today is extremely warm outside. The Cracked Egg Cafe is a must-visit for sure.

Food was good. Breakfast sandwich was flavorful. Eggs and sausage roll were good and home fries were well seasoned. Service was friendly and the food came out quick and piping hot. Prices were good for the portions.

Super friendly staff, egg sandwich was delicious - no skimping on the bacon. Home fries were perfectly seasoned. The biscuits and sausage gravy were the bomb. Best I’ve had, other than the south.
